Course Description |
Following the completion of Composite / Metal Bond Part I, this course prepares repair technicians to perform basic metal-to-metal and aluminum honeycomb panel bonded repairs. It includes the use of repair procedures from the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) and other authorizing engineering documents. The emphasis in the course is hands-on, including practical demonstration and student practice. Trainees will learn to use hazardous materials, common shop tools and specialized equipment. This course satisfies ATA 104 Level IV objectives.
Program Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Perform basic metal-to-metal and aluminum honeycomb panel bonded repairs.
- Safely use hazardous materials and common shop tools.
- Use special equipment such as the ATACS, Heatcon and Applied Heat Hot Bond Repair Consoles and the Phosphoric Acid Containment System (PACS).

Successful graduates will be issued with a Certificate of Training jointly awarded by Alteon Training LLC and Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center.
