Composite / Metal Bond Part IV - Advanced Composite Repair for Technicians
Course Description
This course builds on the skills learned in the Composite / Metal Bond Part II - Basic Composite Repair for Technicians course, and applies those skills to complex repair concepts such as ply drop offs, critical areas, edge bands, and solid laminates. It includes detailed discussion of design requirements, composite drawings, specifications and practice exercise including high temperature, critical area and edge repairs. This course satisfies ATA 104 Level IV objectives.
Program Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
Identify design requirements for complex composite repairs.
Perform complex composite repairs, such as an edge band repair.
Analyze composite drawings and specifications.
Who Should Attend
Technicians, Inspectors, Engineers as well as individuals who need to advance their knowledge and skills relating to repairs to Metal and Composite Aircraft Structures.
Upon Completion
Successful graduates will be issued with a Certificate of Training jointly awarded by Alteon Training LLC and Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center.
Entry Requirements
Preferably those who have completed Composite / Metal Bond Part II or equivalent.
