Course Description |
This course informs the trainee about the fundamentals of composite and metal bond materials and the repair of these components. It includes lectures, demonstration and hands-on practice. The hands-on practice includes composite repairs to carbon (graphite) fiberglass, Kevlar and metal bond structures. This course satisfies ATA 104 Level IV objectives.
Program Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the different composite materials, such as carbon, fiberglass and Kevlar.
- Identify the different types of composite and metal bond components.
- Properly store and handle material for composite and metal bond repair.
- Identify facility requirements for composite repairs.
- Perform basic composite and metal bond repair tasks.

Technicians, Inspectors, Engineers as well as individuals who need basic knowledge and skills relating to repairs to Aircraft Metal and Composite Structures.

Upon Completion |
Successful graduates will be issued with a Certificate of Training jointly warded by Alteon Training LLC and Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center.
