Course Description |
A fundamental course which introduces students to the requirements of an Airline Operations Control Center (AOC). Students will learn the basis of what is required to obtain an Airline Dispatcher Certificate as outlined by the requirements of FAR 65. This course is the first and fundamental course leading to FOM-2 and the eventual Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
Program Objectives
Teaches the workflow processes and protocols of an international AOC. It covers the duties and responsibilities of the flight operations officer (dispatcher) and other positions within the AOC.
It meets ICAO Level 2 expertise criteria set forth in the ICAO Training Manual for Flight Operations Officers and Dispatchers, Part D-3. Students graduate with a basic knowledge of commercial aviation dispatch procedures, work rules, local and international regulations, and the terms and language used in the AOC. Students will be engaged in workshop sessions, putting new skills and knowledge to work and measuring and evaluating the results. The course content is broad, giving students an excellent understanding of what is expected from new AOC personnel.

Successful candidate will receive a certificate jointly issued by Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center and Jeppesen.
