E-Cabin Crew Course

Welcome to the exciting world of the cabin crew!

If you wish to fly with an airline as a Flight Attendant or are contemplating to take up Cabin Crew as a career, this Course is specially designed to give you an insight of the fundamentals evolved around cabin crews. Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center's E-Cabin Crew will provide you the foundation and pre-training knowledge to better equipped you on your decision to become a flight attendant / cabin crew.

1. Introduction

Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center's E-Cabin Crew Course, designed by a group of experienced cabin crew trainers, gives awareness and basic introduction to individuals who are interested to pursue a career with the airlines.

There will be 15 modules with each introducing a specialized topic ranging from the basic duties and responsibilities that you will be expected to perform as a cabin crew member to others such as handling special needs passengers.

In addition to familiarizing the cabin crews' daily operations and training needs, you will also be introduced to the roles and responsibilities of other various entities that are an integral part of the aviation industry.

2. Entry Requirements

You are qualified for the E-Cabin Crew Course if you meet the following list of common requirements stipulated by most international airlines.

  • Age: 18 and 27 years old
  • Weight in proportion to height
  • Ability to swim or no hydro phobia
  • Good eyesight (or with corrective lens) and no color blindness
  • Pleasant looking
  • A good team player with friendly dispositions
  • The right to live and work in the country where the airline is based
  • Communicate well in English and another foreign language (e.g. French, Mandarin, German, Japanese, Hindi etc)
3. Course Content

Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center's E-Cabin Crew Course consists of 15 online modules. Students are to complete all the modules and their self assessments in the following sequence - Cabin Crew and the Aviation Industry, Airlines and Types, Aircraft and Types, Aviation Authorities and Regulatory Agencies, Theory of Flight, Geography and Time Zones, Airport Codes, Aviation and Airport Operations Terminology, Crew Resource Management, Passenger Service, Safety and Emergency Procedures, Dangerous Goods, Catering and Food Services, Uniform and Grooming and, Health and Safety.

The 15 web-based training materials are written in a style that is easy to understand and their contents are updated on regular basis by the E-Cabin Crew Support Team to reflect any regulatory changes in the aviation industry worldwide.

4. Training Method

The E-Cabin Crew Course is designed to provide you a hassle free training at your convenience without travelling to our training center or to sit for examination.

Modules are setup in a simple and user friendly interface for the students to easily navigate the course materials and while browsing through the pages. Students will be greeted and guided by the E-Cabin Crew Support Team through a voice aided instructions once they are log into the Course. Our support team member will also read out the contents and objectives of each module to guide the students through. Members of our E-Cabin Crew Support Team are available 7 days a week to assists students on any administrative queries submitted via emails.

5. Examinations (Self Assessment)

At the end of each Module, there will be a Self Assessment for you to complete. The 15 online Self Assessments comprise a set of multiple choice questions to test your comprehension of the training materials you have covered. You will be given the correct answers for these questions. Results of each module will be automatically computed and saved into our student database.

6. Training Materials

All you need is a computer with capability to log on to Internet and you can access this course at anytime and anywhere in the world.

Minimum PC System configuration: Microsoft Windows O/S, 640MB ram.

Browser Requirements: Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher, Javascript and Cookie enabled.

7. Upon Completion

Upon completion of the 15 modules, you will have a good idea on what it takes to land a job as cabin crew and what the minimum requirements are in order to qualify for the position.

In addition, you will have a good understanding of the aviation industry and the "must know" of a cabin crew.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center; a training organization approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, which will give you the confidence and advantage during your initial training in the airline.

Graduates will also be given the option of submitting their resumes to Mil-Com's cabin crew applicants' database for recommendation to airlines serving the Asia region.

Graduates may also sign up for other advanced Cabin Crew training programs conducted by Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center for airlines and individuals.

8. Course Fees and Payment

Course Fees

US$250* It covers a one-time access to training materials online as well as administrative and postage fees for mailing certificates.

* For students with registration address in Singapore, there will be an additional 7% charge (US$17.50) for local government Goods and Services Tax (GST) purpose.

Mode of Payment

Payment is only accepted by VISA or Masters credit cards through PayPal.

Answer c.After completing all 15 Self Assessments, our support team will retrieve your record and Self Assessments' results from our system. A Certificate of Completion, issued by Mil-Com Aerospace Training Center, will be mailed to your registered address within 2 weeks. You will also be directed to our online CV submission page should you wish to send us a copy of your CV for our references to airlines.

Training contents in the 15 modules mirrors, if not exceed, the basic training conducted by domestic and international airlines for cabin crews. Applicants holding the E-Cabin Crew certificate will have the confidence and pre-training advantage over other candidates.

FAQ e.I am a student and working part time as a waitress. I would like to sign up for the E-Cabin Crew course but I do not have the time to studying online regularly every night. Is there a required timeframe for me to complete this course after signing up?

Answer e.The E-Cabin Crew course is design for busy individuals, whether students or young working adults, who do not have the time to attend regular part-time or night classes.

All 15 modules are to be completed within a period of 6 months from the account activated date. However, should students require an extension of completion date; they are welcome to write to our support team for assistance.

Accounts will be automatically closed if there is a period of inactivity within a consecutive period of 3 months from the last log in date. Our support team will regularly monitor your account and alert you via emails should there be signs of inactivity.

Students, however, are encouraged to log in regularly to study the modules. Regular access to the reading materials enables you to make quick references to the topics covered in the previous modules while the data are still fresh in your memory.

Answer f.If you were selected after the several rounds of interviews, the airline will send you for basic training covering areas such as grooming, passenger serving and safety and emergency procedures. These subjects are substantially covered in all our 15 modules.

Answer g.Interested applicants of all age groups and gender are welcome to sign up for our E-Cabin Crew course. However, most airlines have the age limit below 25 years old for cabin crew recruitment. This course is also useful if you wish to learn more about the service profession in the aviation and hospitality industries.
