B12 Aerodynamics and Mechanical Controls (10 Days)


Course Description A sound knowledge of basic Aerodynamics and Mechanical Controls is essential for an aircraft technician/engineer. With it he/she will be able to relate well to the aircraft he is working on and also use it for design modification purposes should the need arise. This course aims to explain and provide the participant of aerodynamics, flight controls and autoflight systems. The course is designed to prepare students for the CAAS B12 examination.

Program Objectives
  • Describe the basic gas laws and laws of motion.
  • Understand Basic Aerodynamics Theory.
  • Understand the basic concepts of High Speed Flight.
  • Have a better understanding of Mechanical Controls and Flight Controls Systems.

  • Airframe Technicians working of aircraft flight controls surfaces.
  • Technical Service engineers who want to know more about Aerodynamics and Mechanical Controls of an airplane.
  • Personnel involved in Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance.
Upon Completion The candidate will be prepared to sit for the CAAS B12 Examination.
Entry Requirements At least NTC3, or GCE N/O level academic qualifications with a pass in English and Mathematics and Science.
