C15 Turbine Engine Systems Course (15 Days)


Course Description

This Turbine Engine Systems (C15) course is designed to meet the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), SAR Section 7, Basic AME Examination syllabus.  It is a CAAS approved course, on successful completion of the course, it will qualify those working on aircraft or engine maintenance, repair or overhauls to sit for the CAAS’s AME examination on C15 paper without having to meet the minimum 2 year aeronautical engineering experience.  Passing the CAAS C15 paper meets one of the CAAS’s requirements for one to be qualified as a CAAS workshop approved signatory or a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.

This course also provides the student with the knowledge on gas turbine engine and its related systems required by technical or engineering personnel involved in aircraft engine or it’s components repair, overhaul or inspection.

Program Objectives
  • The theoretical principles;
  • The constructional arrangements, functional and design features;
  • The maintenance practices; and
  • The normal, deteriorated and failed conditions
Who Should Attend
  • Technical or Engineering personnel involved in aircraft engine repair, overhaul or inspection;
  • Those required to pass the CAAS C15 Paper to be a CAAS approved signatory or a Licensed Aircraft Engineer;
  • Any other aviation industries or academic personnel who requires the knowledge of various systems on an aircraft engine.
Upon Completion The candidate will be prepared to sit for the CAAS C15 Examination.
Entry Requirements
  • At least NTC 3/2 or GCE N/O level academic qualifications with a pass in English, Mathematics and Science
